Our WHY I ROCK Girls Conference is extremely excited to share that for your girls this year we have thee Emmy Award-Winning TV Personality, Daytime Radio DJ for iHeartRadio's number one rated show "The Tra'Renee Show" on JAM'N 107.5 (Tra'Renee - JAM'N 107.5 (iheart.com), former host of the KATU-TV show "Afternoon Live", and current host of her very own new show "Situations and Conversations w/ Tra'Renee" on KPDX as our 5th anniversary Why I ROCK Girls Conference emcee for the Girls Conference this year!! #SCORE!!

 

Tra'Renee has more than 25 years of on-air radio hosting expertise in the nation’s top markets including Los Angeles, San Francisco and New York City. However she also celebrates many "firsts" in her career as an African-American woman and our conference is extremely proud to honor her as an icon for our Girls Conference whos aim is to inspire girls of color to reach for the stars, break glass ceilings, get those letters behind your name, and do so unapologetically melanated!

 

Tra'Renee is the first and only African American woman to host and produce her own TV show in the greater Portland metro region. She was also the only African American woman to host a TV talk show in Oregon during the time "Afternoon Live" aired in 2016 - August of 2020. And, Tra'Renee is degreed for days! Tra'Renee has her Bachelor's in Political Science, her minor in Psychology, she has a Master's in Social Work and has her clinical license in Social Work!
